Who We Are

ROTHCo. Studio was founded by Demetrio Rothenhausler, whose unique background bridges the vibrant cultures of Tijuana and San Diego. This cross-border perspective informs our approach to design, allowing us to address social issues and the complexities that arise at the intersection of diverse communities.

Demetrio's journey in architecture began in 2010 in Monterrey, Mexico, where he laid the foundation for his career. He further honed his skills at Parsons School of Design in New York, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a major in architecture. Driven by a commitment to excellence, Demetrio pursued licensure at The NewSchool of Design and Architecture in San Diego, where he completed a master's degree in the IPAL program. He is currently in the process of fulfilling the remaining requirements for licensure.
